Dr. Anthony Marotta, Ph.D. is a serial entrepreneur and an Adjunct Professor in the Division of Rheumatology, Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia. Marotta is a proven scientific and clinical leader who also has a very strong business and operational acumen which is key in delivering stakeholder value. As part of his professional tenure, Marotta has co-founded companies including Augurex Life Sciences Corp and Peqish Food Company. Marotta continues to support the life sciences ecosystem by serving in advisory, consultative and/or management roles across different sectors including IVD, Food, and Wellness and Therapeutics. During Marotta's eleven-year tenure at Augurex he led the development of the 14-3-3η biomarker programs, and supported the successful approvals and launching of the blood tests in various jurisdictions.
